----God tells us not to forget His law. We are to keep His commandments. Keeping God's Word is very good for us and important.
Proverbs 3:3-4 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart. So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
----Do not abandon mercy and truth, but keep them in your heart. God is pleased when we follow His Word.
Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
----We are to trust in God with all our heart. We are not to lean on our own understanding, but on God's. We are taught here to listen/acknowledge God in everything we do. As long as you acknowledge God in everything you do, He will direct your path.
Proverbs 3:7-8 "Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones."
----We are not to be wise in our own eyes. We are to be wise in God's Word. We are to fear God so as not to sin (depart from evil). It is good for us to do this.
Proverbs 3:9-10 "Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine."
